Lenna Gwiss

Lenna Gwiss has been part of the NepTech adventure since May 2021. She first arrived as an intern and quickly found her place within the team before continuing the adventure on a permanent contract. Today, she plays a key role in the company as a business developer, in charge of business development, communication and marketing.

A multi-faceted role at the heart of NepTech’s strategy

‘My job is to find new opportunities, monitor our market and communicate everything that NepTech does and knows how to do,’ Lenna summarises. As a Business Developer, she actively participates in strengthening NepTech’s visibility, developing partnerships and promoting the company’s innovations to its various audiences. A cross-functional position that requires rigour, creativity and a strong commitment.

Aligning work and convictions

What motivated Lenna to join NepTech? The desire to contribute to a meaningful project. ‘I really wanted to join a project with a positive impact,’ she explains. It was therefore only natural that she recognised herself in NepTech’s values, and more particularly in its environmental and societal commitment, which she embodies on a daily basis in her missions.

Significant projects and strong memories

Among the projects that have left the greatest impression on her, Lenna has no hesitation in mentioning Escale Sétoise: ‘It was a project that moved very quickly, and it was the first boat we launched.’ A key moment in the history of NepTech, and a strong memory for the team. Moreover, one of her best memories is of the demonstrator and its first launches in 2021 – a symbolic milestone!

A daily life between innovation and nature

Based at the Technopôle de l’Arbois in Aix-en-Provence, Lenna particularly appreciates this stimulating environment. ‘What I like best is working alongside other start-ups… and the arrival of spring, with the sounds of peacocks everywhere!’

Vision, ambitions and personal challenges

When asked to describe NepTech in three words, she replies: dynamism, new ideas, sustainable mobility. Three words that sum up the company’s ambition – and her ambition for NepTech ‘I would love NepTech to have a sustainable sea shuttle in Marseille’ a project that would be emblematic for the Southern Region.

Finally, she confides that pitching to investors or the general public remains a real challenge for her, even if it becomes more natural with time. A challenge she takes up brilliantly, in line with the energy and determination she puts into each of her projects. Lenna perfectly embodies the role of Business Developer in an impact startup, combining innovation, commitment and ambition for more sustainable mobility.
